True stories

Updated: Jan 8, 2019

The true stories of family separation through immigration were brought to light, following interviews conducted with immigrants themselves as well as members of their families who staued behind. Fathers, mothers, children... Some had to go, some had to stay behind. Some families were reunited at some point, some never.

The interview participants were kind enough to tell us their stories and allow us to publish their photos.

The FAIDRA Play: "Passport: A Green button"

The FAIDRA Play was based on the narratives of the immigrants and members of their families who were interviewed. It was built by the project coordinator "Centre for Higher Education in Theatre Studies" (Greece) with the contribution of all project partners.

The play was premiered in Athens, Greece, and was also performed in Smolyan, Bulgaria, and Lund, Sweden.

The following video of the whole performance is from the premier in the Evripidion Open Theatre in Chalandri, Athens.
